Awujale Professorial Chair Building Complex set for completion in March, 2019

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ganiyu Olatunji Olatunde and his two Deputy Vice-Chancellors, Professor A.O.J Agboola (DVC, Academics) and Professor (Mrs.) Ebun Oduwole (DVC, Administration), undertook a special facility inspection to the construction site of the Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona Professorial Chair Building Complex on Thursday 10th January, 2019.

The Building project, which is located at the permanent site of the University, consists of an office complex with four rooms, Guest Chalets with six bedrooms, one kitchen, one dining room and one living room and a Boy’s quarters with four bedrooms and one kitchen had reached the roofing level. The site Engineer, Mukaila Oloso, who conducted the three Principal Officers of the University round the project explained that the project was progressing at a very fast rate based on the earlier promise by the Awujale to complete the first phase of the project within a very short time and the resolve of the Board of Trustees of the Professorial Chair to ensure that y the building is for commissioning March/April, 2019,. The project’s Electrical Engineer, Hon. Hassan Jimoh, who was also on site during the visit acceded to working under a conducive environment and informed  the Principal Officers that arrangement for the completion of the building on time had been perfected.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ganiyu Olatunji Olatunde thanked the workers for the quality of the work on site and for working according to the timelines given for the completion of the project. He eulogized the determination of Awujale to execute the project as promised and thanked the Board of Trustees for executing the dream of Kabiyesi. The Vice-Chancellor  further encouraged the workers and admonished them to intensify their efforts toward the completion of the project in record time.
